How to make protein bars at home

Homemade protein bars are healthier than store bought protein bars. Homemade protein bars are also healthier and can contain even more nutrition and flavor than the ones you get in stores. Using these 5 easy steps, a protein bar can be made at home at a fraction of the cost.

Step 1

Take flour (coconut flour) or grain-based flour (oat flour) and mix it with protein powder (Pure Protein Advanced)

Step 2

Add skimmed milk to bind both the above ingredients. To add more consistency to the mixture nut butter can be used. Skimmed milk can be replaced with cow’s milk or coconut milk. Remember, the bar should look like dough so that it can be shaped as a bar.

Step 3

If the batter appears liquidly then increase the amount of flour to make it thicker. If the batter is dry then incorporate more milk in the mixture.

Step 4

To add some flavour, melted chocolate can be added. To melt chocolate, take chocolate in a small bowl and place it on top of the boiling water. Once the chocolate is melted, coat the bar in chocolate. Chocolate chips can also be added into the batter.

Step 5

Place the protein bar in the freezer for at least an hour and the protein bars are then ready to be eaten.

Making a protein bar is that easy and is a perfect substitute to snacking that is aimed at improving health and reducing weight! Instead of purchasing protein bars follow these easy steps and have your own DIY protein bars made tailored to your taste and your specific nutrition needs.
